You can come to Rantakorpi just for the night, or you can add some farm experiences to your holiday! You can observe farm life and the animals, enjoy the lake and proximity to nature, go on hikes or take part on trail rides. The rowing boat, sub board and kayak are available for use. Hankasalmi and its vicinity also offer many interesting hiking locations. We offer breakfast and lunch on order.

Onnela

Onnela is the cozy apartment situated in a wing of the house, featuring its own entrance and well-equipped kitchen. The apartment accomodates five people; main room has a 140 cm bed and 80 cm sofa bed, in the loft there is a 140 cm wide mattress. The toilet, shower and sauna department is situated between the two wings and are mutually used by the house residents. There is also a great sauna at the lakeside in use of the guests.

The Lakeside Cottage

The lakeside cottage is a new, naturally beautiful log cabin situated on the shore of the farm’s main building. The big windows of the cabin offer a lovely view to the lake. The cabin loft fits three people – those staying overnight require some dexterity, for the ladder leading to the loft is steep. The loft is also quite low, so movement up there is necessarily stooped. The cabin is suited for camping-style overnight stays. You can use a separate small stove or coal grill on the terrace. The grill hut and campfire spot are also at your service. The cabin features a percolator, water kettle, small fridge and basic tableware. You also have the farm’s dry toilet at your disposal, as well as the main building’s bathroom/shower/sauna. The sauna of the cabin itself is great. We recommend having breakfast in the main building of the farm. We rent the Lakeside Cottage mainly in the summer season.

The Teeri Cottage

The Teeri Cottage is located 3,5 km away from the farm, completely in its own peace. The round-logged cottage has a kitchen and a sauna. The main room features a 120 cm – wide bed, an 80 cm – wide couch/bed and a kitchenette with everything necessary. The yard has a campfire spot and a coal grill. The sauna offers exceptionally mellow ”löyly”, with the water to the sauna sourced from a nearby spring and warmed in the sauna stove. The yard area of the cottage is bordered by a sheep field and forest. Swimming opportunities can be found at the public beach of Niemisjärvi 7 km away or the Rantakorpi farm. You may also come to use the rowing boat at Rantakorpi or book an animal round or horse riding. We rent Teeri Cottage only in the summer season.

Heinäniemi

Heinäniemi is a traditional style country house situated in beautiful nature 40km from Rantakorpi Farm at Kynsivesi lakeside in Kärkkäälä village. In summer season we offer there sheep shepherding holidays for one week period.

Pricing includes 2 persons, fee for extra persons + 10€. The linen is included in the prices.

Rantakorpi farm

On the Rantakorpi farm, Finnish sheep and Eastern Finnish cattle are raised on a small scale. The farm offers horseback riding trips, experiences with farm animals and sheep products.
